Jack Jones
PhD student
Jack obtained his BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Liverpool in 2021, where he completed a literature review on recent progress in interferon therapy for myeloid malignancies, leading to a publication in Frontiers in Oncology. He went on to earn an MSc in Cancer Biology & Therapy at the University of Liverpool in 2022, with his final project investigating the role of VEGFA in pancreatic tumour progression and metastasis.
Over the following three years, Jack worked in NHS research, contributing to studies in both cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. During this time, he held a Research Assistant position evaluating a liquid biopsy for the early detection of brain tumours. In September 2025, Jack joined the NanoOmics team as a PhD student within the Alzheimer’s Society Doctoral Training Centre – Vascular and Immune contributors to Dementia (VIDA) programme.
