Emmanuel wins the Life Sciences Video Interview of the Year

Huge congratulations to our PhD Student, Emmanuel Okwelogu, who has won Life Sciences Video Interview of the Year at the 2022 Scientists’ Choice Awards for Life Sciences. Emmanuel was nominated for his video interview on ‘How biomarkers can identify cancer in its early stages‘.  The winners were announced at the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, USA on April 11.

In his video, Emmanuel discusses his research using 2D nanomaterials for the discovery of novel biomarkers that can aid in the early detection of certain cancers. Emmanuel also highlights the importance of biosafety in this work and reveals how biosafety cabinets are critical to preventing downstream experimental failures.
